HELLO 21st CENTURY!!
Hello to my readers!!
Today I'm not going to share here any of my poems. For a change; I am going to share here my views on a topic which has been bothering me since a long time.
Yesterday; I came across a quote which evoked this feeling of writing about it in details.
The quote read, "You Don't Need To Sacrifice Your PRINCIPLES To Be A Part of 21st Century".
Yes; this stands true for all of us.
There is such a long list of things we do to fit in our environment. Some which are necessary n some which people around call "necessary".
The only difference between the two is that the former will make you feel confident about yourself n the later will make you feel guilty. May be not today but at later stages of life.
Now the argument for my statement that would come up in everyone's mind is, "Whatever I am doing is the call of time. If I have to stay in this environment; I have to become like others. Do what they are doing. It's called modernisation. I am just enjoying my life. Living it my way."
Oh really?? Do you actually have to copy others? Can't you sustain your individuality and stand for your Principles? Why can't you be so strong and powerful that others are forced to copy you?? Think of how weak you are as to let go of your own principles and getting influenced by others.Whereas you have the power to stand for yourself. Don't think that if you don't change; you won't be accepted. Right people will value you for your individuality; will respect you for being so poweful; will love you for what you are.
The last thing that I wanna add on is; how to know whether the changes time demands from you are worthy or not?
My simple way of distinguishing between the two is:
If I tell my parents that I have included these changes in my life and can see pride on their face; the changes are necessary.
If I can't even imagine of telling my parents about the changes in my life; even the thought of sharing it fills me with guilt; I know that these changes are not worthy.
So you don't need to sacrifice your principles, the trust your parents have on you, to be a part of 21st century.
