ILLUMINATE

Hello Readers!!
 Today is 5th September;  a day dedicated to our learned Teachers!!

My parents; being the first teachers,have taught me something I would remember throughout my life: "There is something good to learn from everyone." 

Keeping this in my mind: I dedicate this poem to everyone  from whom I have learnt something during my life span.

ILLUMINATE

    

The path I walk on,

Is the path someone has shown. 

I was blindfolded to this world,

But there was someone I trusted on.

No one is born with the knowledge,

Of the right and the wrong.

It's a worthy talent,

That needs to be taught.

Like a seed; in an infant's mind,

It needs to be sown. 

From taking a step and moving forth,

To learning the meaning of every word. 

From learning the basic ethics of the world,

To understanding one's own worth.

Everything needs to be taught,

Everything needs to be learnt.

Life is the path; we have to walk on,

Only knowledge has the power to illuminate it all along.
